East Lansing Soccer Club registration will take place on one day only. Registration Day is typically held on the first Saturday in June. Please check the Upcoming Events window on the home page of this site, or the calendar page for updated information on when Registration Day will be this year. All participants must be registered on or before Registration Day in order to play or practice with an East Lansing Soccer Club team during the fall and spring seasons.

To register for the ELSC:

1. Print and complete all appropriate registration forms. All forms necessary for registration are located in the Blue Bar on the right hand side of this screen. NOTE: Clicking on these links will open the desired file as a PDF document in a separate window.
2. To register before Registration Day: Mail the above forms and the $80 Participation Fee to the following address:

3. To register on Registration Day: Bring the above forms and the $80 Participation Fee to the East Lansing Soccer Complex on Registration Day.

Registration Info for Kindergarten Classes

Registration for the Kindergarten Classes takes place after school starts in the fall, and in mid March for the spring season. Information and all necessary forms will be given to Kindergarteners at all East Lansing schools in both the fall and the spring, so look for this to come home in backpacks. Age Charts

Players are placed on teams based on their age. A team's age group is determined by the players age before the first day of August of the immediately preceding seasonal year. The "U" in the names of the divisions (eg., U10) means "under". So, for players who will be joining a U10 team next year, they will have to be 9 years old or younger on July 31. If they turn 10 before July 31, they will be eligible for the U11 (under 11 years old) team.

Registration Information for CASL

All players interested in trying out for a CASL team must first register with the ELSC as described above. Tryouts begin around the middle of June each year; please check the calendar for exact dates of CASL tryouts for each age grouping this year. To register for CASL tryouts, simply download the CASL Tryout Schedule to determine when tryouts for your child will be. On the day of tryouts, you will be asked to complete a form at the field, which will require a parent's signature. Click here for more information on CASL Tryouts through ELSC.

Players who are selected to participate in a CASL team will need to download and complete the remaining forms, all listed in the blue menu bar on the right hand side of this page. The forms must be returned to CASL by July 15 for fall team formation, and February 15th for spring team formation. Please check the CASL website for detailed information on this process.

Late Registration

Forms received after Registration Day will be considered for late registration. Please note that late registrants cannot be guaranteed placement on a preferred team.

Player Commitment

By registering with the East Lansing Soccer Club, each player is promising to abide by league and club rules, to at all times employ good sportsmanship and common sense, and to participate and contribute to the best of his or her ability. This includes a promise to attend every scheduled practice and every game. Attendance is not optional: players who miss practice do not develop individually and impeded the progress of the team as a whole. Players who miss games impose a hardship on their fellow players who are counting on full participation. This commitment is elevated for the competitive/CASL teams, where limited roster space is available. If your player or family is not able to honor this commitment, there may be other players who did not make the team but are able to make that commitment. A player with unexcused absences and/or chronic tardiness may be removed from his or her team. In such an event, the Club will refund a pro-rated portion of registration fees, but in no circumstance will the Club reimburse for uniform purchases (see below).

Refund Policy

All requests for refunds must be in writing addressed to the E.L. Soccer Club. Refund guidelines are:

• Full refund for any reason for requests made prior to August 1.
• Full refund for any player waived from an East Lansing Capital Area Soccer League team and selected to play for another community CASL team prior to September 1.
• Half refund for requests made between August 2 and September 1.
• No refund for requests made after September 2.
